Job - Enabling Supplementary Oncost Rates for Standard Rates Job Orders

Description

Two new fields called Use Supplementary Rates for Pay Oncosts and Use Supplementary Rates for Bill Oncosts have been added to the header of the Recruitment Manager > Job Order > Pay/Bill > Agreements > Standard Rates screen, in this release (highlighted below).

When the Use Supplementary Rates for Pay Oncosts field or the Use Supplementary Rates for Bill Oncosts field is ticked the system will use the pay rate of supplementary pay code, which is linked to the pay code against which a pay item has been paid, to calculate the pay or bill oncost for a pay item respectively. Benefits

This enhancement allows the standard rates that apply to a job order to be configured so that pay or bill oncosts for the job order can be calculated using the standard method, whereby the pay rates used in oncost calculations are derived from the pay codes of pay items, or the supplementary rates method, whereby the pay rates used in oncost calculations are derived from supplementary pay codes that are linked to the pay codes of pay items.

Configuration


The ability to toggle the status of the Use Supplementary Rates for Pay Oncosts field and the Use Supplementary Rates for Bill Oncosts field on a standard rates header is subject to the following user security permission, which must be added in Agency Portal > User Maintenance > Manage Users > User Entry > Permissions:

In addition to the abovementioned permission, a user must also have Rates & Rules – Standard Rates (Add / Edit or Full Control).

The Use Supplementary Rates for Pay Oncosts field will only be available if the job order is linked to a country for which the Enable Pay Oncosts Function option is enabled in Portal Maintenance > Country Settings > Oncosts.

The status of the Use Supplementary Rates for Pay Oncosts and Use Supplementary Rates for Bill Oncosts fields are locked downed once a job order is submitted to timesheet and therefore their status applies for the duration of the job order. That is, the status of the fields cannot be toggled on or off for individual rate sets.
