NZ Payroll > Pay Process > EFT Pay / EFT Deductions File Creation change - V12.10 Patch 1

Description

In V11 when generating an EFT file, the standard windows pop up displayed so you could specify a filename and extension, with this process we were automatically able to default the file extension to “*.*” for New Zealand. This extension made the file compatible with all of the New Zealand the bank portals.

In V12 when an EFT file was generated and saved, the file extension defaulted to “.csv”, which resulted with file not being compatible with some of the bank portals. To provide flexibility with file extension requirements, we have made changes in Patch 1 to support the ability for a user to enter in an extension value when creating EFT Pay and EFT Deductions files.

In the Select Payment Date screen, a new item has been added for File Name.

When entering in the File Name, a user can now specify the file type (extension), the example above will create a “.txt” file.

Benefits

This change provides greater flexibility when creating EFT files for New Zealand payroll processes so all bank file extension requirements can be supported.

Configuration

No additional configuration is required to support this change.
