FastTrack360 Version 12 Online Help

Default Payroll Country

Description

If your business processes payroll for payees in multiple countries and, as a payroll user, you have access to the Payroll module for different countries you can now set a user profile option to define your default payroll country.

Your default payroll country determines which payroll country you access by default each time you navigate to the Payroll module when logged into FastTrack360. For example, if your default payroll country is set to Australia each time you navigate to the Payroll module you will be accessing the Payroll Australia module by default.

If you have access to multiple payroll countries, you can switch from your default payroll country to another country at any time while working in the Payroll module. For more information, see Switching Payroll Countries.

Benefits

This enhancement allows you to set your own default payroll country to suit your preferences if you process payroll or carry out payroll-related functions for multiple countries.

For example, if you have access to Payroll Australia and Payroll New Zealand but you spend the bulk of your time processing payroll for Australia, you may want to set Australia as your default payroll country so that you will access the Payroll Australia by default whenever you navigate to the Payroll module.

Configuration

On upgrade to v12 your default payroll country is automatically set to the country of your agency office.

You can change your default payroll country if necessary by navigating to your User Profile by selecting the Profile option from the User menu at the top right-hand corner of the screen when logged into FastTrack360, as shown in the example below.

The User Profile dialog box will open. You can then click Edit and then select the relevant country from the Default Payroll Country field, as highlighted below.

Once you have made the relevant selection in the Default Payroll Country field, click Save to apply the setting.
