Copying Pay Code Links When Creating New Pay Code Group Validity

Description

In Rates & Rules > Maintenance > Pay Code Group, for an existing group a new validity period can be added after ending an existing open validity period. Where this occurs in the new validity period the user then has to assign the required Pay Codes.

An enhancement has been completed in this release to provide the user with the opportunity to copy the existing linked pay codes to the new validity period.

If an existing validity period end date is entered, on invoking Add to create a new validity period a message will ask the user if they wish to copy across the Pay Codes linked to the previous validity period. If the user selects Yes, the pay code links are assigned to the new validity period. If the user selects No, they will need to assign the required pay codes manually. An example of this is shown below.

Benefits

This enhancement reduces the time to create new validity periods in Pay Code Groups, by allowing the user to copy the Pay Code links from the current validity period to the new one.
