Ability to attach .msg items to Timesheets

Description

In Time and Attendance, within the Attachment section of the Timesheet, users can add in attachments to support claims they are making within the timesheet.

Currently files of type .msg (Outlook email message) cannot be attached.  This is frustrating where the supporting document is an email, for example, approval for the item claimed is in an email message.

An enhancement has been completed in this release to support the use of .msg attachments in Time and Attendance for both PC and Mobile Timesheets.

Benefits

This change increases the scope of items that can be attached to a Timesheet, which will be beneficial to Agencies where email correspondence is required as supporting documentation.

Configuration

No configuration is required, however if you send Timesheet Attachments with your timesheet invoices, the .msg item will need to be saved as .pdf so it will display properly when viewed as an invoice attachment. To do this complete the following steps prior to attaching to the Timesheet:

  • Open the .msg item

  • Click Print and select Print to PDF Select the file location

  • Attach the .pdf file to the Timesheet Attachments section.
