How to Add or Delete Attachments

Electronic files can be attached and saved with a timesheet. This is useful if, for example, a medical certificate needs to be provided as proof of medical leave taken or a copy of a receipt needs to be provided as proof of a reimbursement claim.

You can use the camera on your mobile device to take a photo of the certificate, receipt or any other document that needs to be attached to a timesheet. You can save the photo to your photo library and then attach the relevant image to the timesheet from your photo library. Alternatively, you can take a photo at the time of adding the attachment, which will allow you to add the photo as an attachment without the need to save the photo on your mobile device.

How to Add an Attachment

To add an attachment to a timesheet, open the relevant timesheet from the Available Timesheets or Incomplete Timesheets screen and follow the procedure below.

1.

On the Attachments tab on the timesheet entry screen, click.

A popup menu is displayed, prompting you to take a photo, select a photo from your photo library or to select a file from a folder on your device. Note that exact options that are available depend on the type of mobile device that you are using.

2.

Take a photo of the relevant document or navigate to the location on your mobile device where the file that is to be attached is located and select the relevant file.

The photo or selected file is attached to the timesheet and is listed on the Attachments tab, as highlighted in the example.

3.

Click Save at the top of the screen.

The attachment is saved and, if the status of the timesheet is currently Available, the status of the timesheet changes to Incomplete.

How to Delete an Attachment

To delete an existing attachment that is attached to a timesheet, open the relevant timesheet from the Available Timesheets or Incomplete Timesheets screen and follow the procedure below.

1.

On the timesheet entry screen, click the Attachments tab.

The tab expands to show the files currently attached to the timesheet, as shown in the example.

2.

If there is more than one file attached to the timesheet, scroll down the screen if necessary until you locate the attachment you want to delete.

3.

Next to the relevant file name, click X.

A confirmation message opens, prompting you to confirm deleting of the attachment.

4.

Click Yes to confirm deleting the attachment.

The confirmation message closes and the attachment is removed from the timesheet.

5.

Click Save at the top of the screen.

The changes you made to the timesheet are saved and, if the status of the timesheet is currently Available, the status of the timesheet changes to Incomplete.
