Adding & Viewing Attachments (Payroll NZ)

Electronic copies of files pertaining to a payee and their employment, such as the payee's resume, employment contract, insurance certificates, certifications and alike, can be attached to a payee record for record keeping purposes.
Files can be selected from any file location accessible on your network and can be attached to the payee record at any time once the payee record has been created and can be removed whenever no longer required.

To view a document that is attached to a payee record, you can save the attached file to a file location on your network from the Pay module.

How to Add an Attachment

To add an attachment to the payee record, follow the procedure below.

If you do not already have the relevant payee record open in the Payee Entry screen, search for and open the relevant payee record in edit mode.

Below the header of the Payee Entry screen, click the Attachments tab.

The Attachments tab is activated.

Click Add Files.

A Windows file dialog box opens, prompting you to select the file to be attached.

Navigate to the location of the file to be attached, select the file and click Open.

The Windows file dialog box closes and the name of the selected file is listed on the Attachments tab to indicate that the selected file is attached.

At the top of the Payee Entry screen, click Save.

The changes you have made are saved.

How to View an Attachment

To view an attachment that has been attached to a payee record, follow the procedure below.

If you do not already have the relevant payee record open in the Payee Entry screen, search for and open the relevant payee record in edit mode..

Below the header of the Payee Entry screen, click the Attachments tab.

The Attachments tab is activated, showing a list of files that are currently attached to the payee record.

Next to attachment that you want to view, click the View button.

The corresponding file is downloaded to your device, thereby allowing you to open and view or save the file to your device or your network.
