Toggle Display of Payee Mailing Address

Description

The display and entry of the payee mailing address on the Payee Entry screen in the Payroll module can now be toggled on or off depending on the requirements of each country.

If the display of the payee mailing address is togged on, an Actual Address field grouping and a Mailing Address field grouping is displayed on the Payee Entry screen for capturing the payee’s actual address and a mailing address respectively and it is mandatory to provide the mailing address.

If the display of the payee mailing address is togged off, only the Actual Address field grouping is displayed on the Payee Entry screen and it is mandatory to provide the actual address. On save of the Payee record, any changes that have been made to the actual address are also saved to the mailing address in the background, despite the Mailing Address field grouping not being visible on the Payee Entry screen.

Benefits

This enhancement allows the use of the payee mailing address to be toggled on or off on a per country basis depending on whether it is necessary to capture separate payee actual and mailing addresses.

Configuration

The ability to toggle the display of a separate payee mailing address is controlled by the Display Payee Mailing Address field under Maintenance > Hierarchy > Country > Other Settings > Display Payee Mailing Address, as shown below.

If the field is ticked, the Mailing Address field grouping is displayed on the Payee Entry screen in the Payroll module for the corresponding country. If the field is un-ticked, the display of the Mailing Address field grouping is suppressed.

On upgrade, the Display Payee Mailing Address field is ticked for Australia and New Zealand to maintain backward compatibility with previous functionality. However, the field can be un-ticked if you do not require separate payee actual and mailing addresses to be captured and displayed.
