Pay Batch Screen Enhancements V12.30

Description
The following changes have been made to the Payroll > Pay Process > Pay Batch screen:
new search fields have been added to the Search header
new columns have been added to the Results list
changes have been made to existing columns in the Results list.
New Search Fields
The following new fields have been added to the Search section on the Pay Batch screen:
Field | Description |

Tax Year End From | Filters existing pay batches by the earliest tax year end to which a pay batch corresponds. For example, if the date selected is 05/04/2024 then only those pay batches that correspond to the tax year ending on 05/04/2024 or later will be returned by the pay batch search. |
Tax Year End To | Filters existing pay batches by the latest tax year end to which a pay batch corresponds. For example, if the date selected is 05/04/2024 then only those pay batches that correspond to the tax year ending on 05/04/2024 or earlier will be returned by the pay batch search. |
Tax Period From | Filters existing pay batches by the earliest tax period to which a pay batch corresponds. For example, selecting 5 in this field would return pay batches that were processed in tax period 5 or later of the respective tax year. This field is available for Payroll UK only. |
Tax Period To | Filters existing pay batches by the latest tax period to which a pay batch corresponds. For example, selecting 50 in this field would return pay batches that were processed no later than in tax period 50 of the respective tax year. This field is designed to be used in conjunction with the Tax Year End From/To and Tax Period From fields. For example, if Tax Year End From is set to a date in the calendar year 2022 and if Tax Year End To is set to a date in the calendar year 2023, setting Tax Period From to 51 and Tax Period To to 2 makes the search return pay batches from tax year end 2022 period 52 to Tax year End 2023 period 2. This field is available for Payroll UK only. |

New Results List Columns
The following new columns have been added to the Results list on the Pay Batch screen:
Column | Description |
|---|---|
Tax Year | Displays the tax year end to which the listed pay batch corresponds. |
Tax Period | Displays the tax period to which the listed pay batch corresponds. This column is available for Payroll UK only. |
TS Out of Period | Displays the count of timesheets in the listed pay batch that correspond to prior periods. This count is inclusive of timesheets that are subject to contractor payment terms and are therefore being paid outside of the period to which they belong. |
These new columns are highlighted in the example below.
Changes to Existing Results List Columns
The existing Type column in the Results list on the Pay Batch screen, which displays the type of pay batch that is listed, has been enhanced to display one of the following values:
Normal Batch - this is displayed if the listed batch is a Normal batch
Adjustment Batch - this is displayed if the listed batch is an Adjustment batch that is not a Balancing Payments batch
Balancing Payment/Prior Year Adjustment - is displayed if the listed batch is an Adjustment batch that is a Balancing Payments batch.

Because of this change, the Balance Payment column, which previously indicated if an adjustment pay batch was for a balancing payment, has been removed because it is now possible to refer to the Type column to determine if the listed pay batch is for a balancing payment.
Benefits
These enhancements improve the useability of the system by providing a greater range of search options for finding existing pay batches.
