Leave Accrual Pay Batch Stage - Payee Pay Details Enhancements

Changes have been made to the Leave Accrual section of the Payroll > Pay Process > Pay Batch > Pay Batch Wizard > Payee Pay Details screen at the Leave Accrual pay batch stage to cater for the introduction of Multi-period Payroll (MPP) functionality in this release.

Within the Leave Accrual section of the Payee Pay Details screen, leave accrual transactions are now grouped by a combination of job order and pay period. Transactions that are not linked to a job order must be grouped by pay period.

Accrual transactions are sorted in descending pay period order (i.e. accruals for the current period at the top of the list) and then by ascending job order number (i.e. accruals linked to the highest job order must be sorted higher than those linked to a lower job order number).

On expanding a leave type within the Leave Accrual section to display the details of accrual, the following changes apply:

  • a new column labelled Pay Period is available and it displays the pay period to which an accrual corresponds

  • the pre-existing Accrual in Batch column has been relabeled Accrual in Period.

These changes are highlighted in the example below.

These changes are also reflected in the Pay Enquiry for closed pay batches.

Benefits

These enhancements compliment the introduction of MPP functionality in this release, whereby leave accrued in a pay batch could correspond to the current or any prior pay period and allows easy identification of how much leave has been accrued for each respective pay period for which a payee had an automatic accrual in a pay batch.
