Pay Batch Wizard Screen Enhancements

Description

The following changes have been made to the Pay Batch Wizard screen in the Payroll module:

• The Prior Period Timesheets Included field, which was previously displayed in the header of the screen, has been removed since, with the introduction of multi-period payroll functionality, any normal pay batch may include timesheets for prior periods and adjustment pay batches can include timesheets that belong to the adjustment period only.

• The Prior Period TS column in the payee list has been relabeled Prior Period Transactions and has enhanced so that:

  • in normal pay batches it displays Yes if the listed payee has any transactions in the pay batch, not just late timesheets, that correspond to prior pay periods

  • in adjustment pay batches the column is hidden.

Benefits

These enhancements compliment the introduction of Multi-period Payroll (MPP) functionality. Because of the introduction of MPP functionality, any normal pay batch may include any unprocessed transactions that belong to a prior pay period, including but not limited to late timesheets. By contrast, adjustment pay batches can only include transactions that correspond to the adjustment period of the batch.
