Report Description - character limit increase

Description

Currently in the Report Module, a description limited to 255 characters can be entered in report properties to provide the user with an understanding of what is in the report. As some reports may require a lengthily description, in the 11.38 release we have increased the character limit from 255 characters to unlimited.

Benefits

The ability to enter more detail on report descriptions will provide the user with more information and assist with the selection of the report required.

Configuration

No additional configuration is required with this change. Report descriptions are viewed via selecting Reports in the left hand menu, the description is visible in the report list. To change a description, click on the Action menu next to the applicable report and then Properties. Users will need permission to Report Designer (Edit) to edit report descriptions.
