Job > Rates - Assigning a Hierarchy Group
Description
With the introduction of Hierarchy Groups in this release, depending on the job's office configuration, a new field may display when assigning Agreement and or Standard Rates to a Job Order. A hierarchy group is an additional, customisable category that can be used in conjunction with hierarchy levels and hierarchy values (for more information about Hierarchy Groups, see Hierarchy Group Maintenance). In the example below the Hierarchy Group label has been configured as 'Classification'.
The Hierarchy Group item labels are configurable and therefore the field labels shown above may be different in your system (for more information, Enabling Hierarchy Group Functionality).
Â
Following selection of the Hierarchy Group, a new column labelled <<Hierarchy Group>> Assigned at Rate Level has been added into the list of agreements that are available to be assigned to a Job Order (shown below). This provides the user with the ability to determine if any rates are using the assigned Hierarchy Group.
The <<Hierarchy Group>> Assigned at Rate Level column displays a value of Yes if the selected agreement has a pay or bill rate rule that is assigned to a hierarchy group. Alternatively, it displays a value of No if the agreement has no pay rate or bill rate rules that are assigned to
a hierarchy group. For more information about hierarchy groups, see For more information, see Hierarchy Group Maintenance.
The above items are also available on Job Templates and therefore, where a Job Order is created based on a template, the option that is selected in the Hierarchy Group field can be defaulted based on the option that is selected on the applicable template.
Benefits
This enhancement allows a Hierarchy Group to be assigned to a Job Order so that rates, oncosts and holiday rules can be applied to the Job Order based on the applicable Hierarchy Group.
Configuration
The Hierarchy Group field is available only where a Job Order is managed by an agency office that is linked to a country for which the Hierarchy Group functionality is enabled in Agency Portal > Portal Maintenance > Country settings. For more information, see Hierarchy Group Maintenance.
Settings in Maintenance > Hierarchy > Office can also determine if the hierarchy group functionality is available for a given agency office and, if available, whether it is mandatory to select a hierarchy group before submitting a Job Order to timesheet. For more information, see Maintenance – Hierarchy Group Options for Agency Offices.
