How to Enable the Sending of STP Notifications

Sending of STP notifications must be done individually for each pay company that will be reporting through STP. Before attempting to enable STP notifications for a pay company, ensure the following has been done:

  • STP reporting has been enabled for the pay company

  • the relevant STP notification templates have been created.

Navigate to Payroll Australia > Maintenance > Pay Company.

The Pay Company Maintenance screen opens.

Search for and open the relevant pay company record.

The Pay Company Entry screen opens.

Click on the STP Notifications tab.

The STP Notifications tab is activated.

In the EOFY Finalisation Notifications field grouping, tick Enable Notifications if notifications are to be sent to payees when their earnings are finalised at the end of a financial year. Otherwise, skip this step and continue on step 7.

The Notification Type field is enabled.

From the Notification Type field, select the delivery mechanism by which notifications are to be sent. For example, if notifications are to be emailed and sent via SMS, select Email & SMS.

The Email Template and/or the SMS Template fields are enabled depending on the notification type that you selected.

From the Email Template and/or SMS Template field, select the STP notification template that will be used when sending email and SMS notifications respectively.

Repeat steps 4-6 in the Pay Finalisation Notifications and Finalised Pay Update Notifications field groupings if notifications are to be sent when payee's earnings are finalised at termination of employment and when additional payments are made to payees after their pay is finalised respectively

Click Save.

The changes you have made to the STP notification settings are saved and the Pay Company Entry screen closes
