Termination Reason Maintenance

The pay batch process includes a Termination stage during which a payee's employment can be terminated and any termination or lump sum payments can be specified. At the Termination stage, a termination reason must be selected if a payee's employment is to be terminated.

The termination reason identifies why a payee's employment is terminated and is used for reporting purposes. Therefore, before payees' employment can be terminated as part of the pay batch process the applicable termination reasons must be created under Payroll > Maintenance > Termination Reason.
