Maintenance > Hierarchy > Office - Ability to create Payslip Message by Office
Description
Currently Payslip Messages can be generated from the following sources:
Payroll > Payee > Payslip Details - Payslip Message, where the message is applicable to a particular payee
Payroll > Maintenance > Pay Company > Payslip Details Tab - Payslip Message, where the message is applicable to payees belonging to a particular pay company.
In Version 12, a new option has been introduced to provide the ability to define a payslip message at the Office level.
In Maintenance > Hierarchy > Country > Office, a new subsection labelled ‘Pay/Bill’ has been created with a field for ‘Payslip Message’.
Where a message is entered, it will display on payslips belonging to Payees/Candidates that are owned by the office.
Benefits
This enhancement will provide the ability to communicate a message via payslip to Payees / Candidates owned by a particular office.
Configuration
To setup a message for Office, navigate to Maintenance > Hierarchy > Office. Edit the page and navigate, to the Pay / Bill section and enter in the message details.
In Maintenance > Document Designer > Payslip, find the relevant payslip template and ensure that the Payslip Message component has been added to the template.
Create an item for the message and assign the Database Field ‘Office Payslip Message’.
The existing database fields for ‘Pay Company Message’ and ‘Payee Message’ have been re-labelled to ‘Pay Company Payslip Message’ and ‘Payee Payslip Message’ to make the purpose of these fields clear. No configuration changes are required to existing Document Format Data items using these fields.
Â
Following setup, when the next pay run occurs where this item has been setup, the system will check if there is a message applied to the Payee’s related office, if yes the message is displayed on the payslip.
When the message is no longer required, navigate back to Maintenance > Hierarchy > Office > Pay / Bill and in edit mode delete the message details.
