Invoice Batch - Inclusion of Timesheets Based on Interpreted Timesheet Status Type

Description

The Billing module has been enhanced to so timesheet are now included in an invoice batch based on the underlying interpreted timesheet status type rather than the timesheet status. Previously, a timesheet could be included and paid in an invoice batch if its interpreted status was Reviewed. Now, the interpreted timesheet status type must be one of Reviewed - Pay and Bill or Reviewed - Bill Only before a timesheet will be included and billed in an invoice batch.

Before creating an invoice batch, you can drill down into an invoice batch group to see the count of timesheets that are ready to be invoiced, that are expected to be invoiced in the current billing cycle but are not yet ready to be invoiced, adjustment or late timesheets that are expected to be invoiced out of period and those that are actually ready to be invoiced out of period.

Previously, these timesheet counts were based on the status of timesheets (i.e. where the status of a timesheet was Reviewed the timesheet was ready to be invoiced). Now the timesheet counts have been refactored so that they are based on the underlying status type of a timesheet and not the status name. That is, where the status type that corresponds to the status of a timesheet is Reviewed - Pay and Bill or Reviewed - Bill Only, the timesheet is deemed ready to be invoiced and that is reflected in the timesheet counts that are shown when you view the details of an invoice batch group.

Benefits

This enhancement complements the changes made in this release that allow custom interpreted timesheet status names to be configured and applied to timesheets. Because the names of the interpreted timesheet statuses can now be customised, the system refers to the underlying status type that is mapped to the interpreted timesheet status to determine if a timesheet can be billed in an invoice batch.
