Create a new Reason Code
To create a new adjustment reason, follow the procedure below.
1 | Navigate to Maintenance > Global Section > Reasons. The Reason Code Maintenance screen opens. |

2 | Click Add. The Add Reason Entry screen opens. | |
3 | Select the Reason Group. Preference & Exclusion Adjustment Reason Parent Inactive Reason Client Inactive Reason Cost Centre Inactive Reason Contact Inactive Reason Candidate Inactive Reason Candidate Other Unavailability Reason Job Order Need Reason Job Order Status Reason Referral Rejection Reason |

4 | If ‘Adjustment Reason’ is selected, in the Country field, select the country to which the adjustment reason will apply. |

5 | If ‘Adjustment Reason’ is selected, enter a Description. |

6 | If ‘Adjustment Reason’ is selected, tick Default Reason if the reason is to be defaulted when applied to credit notes that are created automatically via the Invoice Batch process. Only one Adjustment Reason can be ticked as default per Country. |

7 | If ‘Adjustment Reason’ is selected, enter the validity dates that the reason needs to be available. Skip this step if the adjustment reason is to remain available indefinitely. |

8 | If ‘Candidate Other Unavailability Reason’ is selected, tick if the reason is also displayed for selection in the Candidate Portal. |

9 | In the Name field, key in the name of the reason. The name must be unique |

10 | In the Description field, type a textual description that explains the purpose of the adjustment reason. |

11 | Enter the Reason that is to display for selection in the list. |
|
12 | Click Save. The Reason Entry screen closes and a confirmation message opens to indicate that the reason has been saved. |
