Description

Previously, payroll users could not perform superannuation transfers unless their security role gave them full or add and edit permissions to pay batches. Now a separate security role permission called Gross Wage > Superannuation Transfers has been introduced to control agency users' ability to access the Superannuation Transfers tab on Payee records and therefore to transfer superannuation and view a payee's superannuation transfer history.

Benefits

This enhancement provides better granularity of security because the ability to perform superannuation transfers can now be controlled independently of access to the pay batch process.

Configuration

On upgrading to v11.38 the new Gross Wage > Superannuation Transfers permission is enabled by default for all agency user security roles where the Gross Wage > Pay Batch permission is already enabled with a security level of Full Control or Add and Edit. This will allow all users, who had the ability to transfer superannuation prior to the upgrade, to continue to perform superannuation transfers by default after your system is upgraded. If any of these security roles should not have the ability to transfer superannuation, you must manually edit the security role to disable the the Gross Wage > Superannuation Transfers permission.

Similarly, if you have existing security roles that do not currently have Full Control or Add and Edit security levels for the Gross Wage > Pay Batch permission but the security roles require the ability to transfer superannuation, you must manually enable the new Gross Wage > Superannuation Transfers permission for those security roles.

Security roles and the permissions that apply to the roles are managed under Agency Portal > Maintenance > Security > Security Roles.
