How to Edit an Existing Contribution Rate Rule (UK)

All attributes in the Contribution Rate Rule Header section can be edited at any time.  The contribution rate rule itself within a validity period can only be edited if it has not been used in a pay batch or assigned to a pension scheme.

To edit an existing contribution rate rule, follow the procedure below. 

1.

If the relevant contribution rate rule record is not already open, search for and open the relevant record.

 

2.

Click the edit button in the pension scheme validity List.

3.

If the contribution rate rule has not been used in a pay batch process, all the fields are available for edit. Update the required fields.

 

4.

If the contribution rate rule has been used in a pay batch, a validity end date should be entered that is equal to or after the last used date.

Then a new validity date should be added and the new details added.

 

5.

Click Save.

The contribution rate rule is saved.
