New Validation on Saving Permission Role with Statutory Reporting Permissions

Description

If you attempt to save a security role in Agency Portal > Security > Permission Role, the following warning message will now be displayed if any permission under Statutory Reporting (AU) or Statutory Reporting (NZ) is granted but the Gross Wage > Reporting permission has not been granted to the security role:

On clicking OK, the warning message is dismissed and any changes made to the security permissions for the permission role are not saved. If this warning message is displayed, you must first grant the Gross Wage > Reporting permission to the security role, as highlighted in the example below, before attempting to save again.

Benefits

This enhancements ensures that, if any of the statutory reporting permissions are granted for a security role, the security role also has permissions to view payroll reporting data because the ability to view payroll data is also required to perform statutory reporting functions.

Configuration

On upgrading to v11.38 the Gross Wage > Reporting permission will be enabled by default for any existing security role that has any permission enabled under Statutory Reporting (AU) or Statutory Reporting (NZ) to ensure that any users, who have access to statutory reporting functions prior to upgrade, continue to do so after upgrading.
