How to Create a New Pension Provider

To create a new pension provider, follow the procedure below:

1.

Go to Payroll > Maintenance > Pension > Providers.

 

2.

Click Add.

The Pension Provider screen opens

In the Name field, enter the name of the pension provider.

Key in the following optional fields as required

Last Used Date

This displays the pay period end date of when the pension provider was last used.

Employer Identifier

This field is used for the pension output sent to the pension provider and becomes mandatory if in the Output Provider > Provider section is completed. This field would need to be populated with the employer identifier that the pension provider gives the employer.

Active
When ticked, the pension provider will be available to select in the Payee Screen and Automatic Enrolment stage of the pay batch. When un-ticked, pension provider cannot be selected to be applied to payees.

Description

A brief description can be added to give further details about the pension provider.

Import Code

Unique code that can be used to receive data from a 3rd party system.

Export Code
Unique code that can be used to export data to a 3rd party system.

Mailing Address

Address details of the pension provider.

 

5.

Key in the banking details for the direct debit details. This is for information purposes only and can be used as part of a 3rd party export file. 

Account Name

The name of the bank.

Account Number

The UK bank account number of the pension provider for the funds to be transferred into.

Bank Abbreviation

Not required for UK.

Sort Code

The UK sort code of the pension provider's branch for the funds to be transferred into.

Account Reference

The reference provider by the pension provider to the transferred funds.

In the Output Management, select the provider that FastTrack360 is able to produce the output format as standard. When this is selected, and depending on the provider, more fields will be displayed. If the output format is specified as being an API, the following fields will be displayed.

If you have selected NEST (API):

Username

Enter the username of the Nest account that you use to login into.

Password

Enter the password of the Nest account that you use to login into.

Endpoint

For NEST, this is https://ws.nestpensions.org.uk

Test Connection

If you have entered all the above fields, you can test if the details entered are correct by clicking the button.

 

 

Click Save.

A confirmation message will be displayed as well as generating a new section for the entry of the pension scheme.
