Timesheet Types

When working in the Interpreter Review area of the Interpreter Results module, it is important to understand the difference between the different types of timesheets that can be reviewed. The table below lists and describes the different timesheet types.

Timesheet Type

Description

Original/Normal

A timesheet that has not been adjusted since being submitted for approval, being approved and being processed by the Interpreter.

If an error is discovered on an original timesheet, the original timesheet can be adjusted in Interpreter Review.

Adjustment

An adjusted copy of an original timesheet. Where an original timesheet is submitted and approved but then requires adjustment, the timesheet undergoes an adjustment workflow. This creates a new adjustment timesheet, and it is the adjustment timesheet that is edited while the original timesheet remains unaltered for tracking purposes.

Each time a timesheet undergoes the adjustment workflow in Time and Attendance, a new adjustment timesheet is created.

An adjustment timesheet cannot be adjusted directly within Interpreter Review. Instead, the original timesheet must be adjusted, and all related adjustment timesheets will be affected accordingly.

Back Pay

An adjustment timesheet created by processing a Back Pay batch.

If an error is discovered on a Back Pay timesheet, the timesheet can be adjusted in Interpreter Review.

Adjusted Back Pay

An adjustment timesheet, created via the adjustment workflow in Time and Attendance, where the original timesheet has already been adjusted by processing a Back Pay batch.

If an error is discovered on an Adjusted Back Pay timesheet, the timesheet can be adjusted in Interpreter Review.

In Interpreter Review, timesheets are labelled according to their type for identification purposes.

Note that the status of a timesheet cannot be changed to Reviewed unless the status of each previous version of that timesheet is already set to Reviewed. For example, the status of an adjustment timesheet cannot be changed to Reviewed unless the status of any previous adjustment timesheets for the same original timesheet, and the status of the original timesheet itself, is set to Reviewed first.
