Timesheet Search by Timesheet ID and Timesheet Code
Description
The following fields have been added to the timesheet search fields that are available in the search header on the Incomplete, Rejected, Submitted, and Historical tabs of the Search Timesheet screen:
Timesheet ID - allows searching for timesheets by the system-generated ID by which a timesheet is uniquely identified.
Timesheet Code - allows searching for timesheets by the client-specific timesheet code that the corresponding client uses to reference a specific timesheet. This field supports the use of a leading and trailing wildcard character (%) for partial matching to a timesheet code.
Columns have been added to the timesheet list on the Incomplete, Rejected, Submitted and Historical tabs of the Search Timesheet screen to display the timesheet ID and timesheet code for timesheets that are returned in a timesheet search.
These new search fields and search results list columns are highlighted in the example below.
Benefits
This enhancement provides more flexibility for searching timesheets by expanding the range of criteria that is available to search by.
The ability to search on the timesheet ID allows you to find a specific timesheet without necessarily having to select a range of search criteria because the timesheet ID is unique to a single timesheet.
In this release the timesheet ID has been exposed in timesheet headers so that it can be used to uniquely reference a timesheet.
By allowing the timesheet ID and timesheet code to be displayed in the timesheet search results list makes it easier to differentiate specific timesheets whenever a range of timesheets is returned in a search.
Configuration
The Timesheet Code column in the timesheet search result list is not displayed in the search results list by default but can be added into the search results list if required by using the Manage Layout action.
The Timesheet ID column is displayed in the search result list by default and is displayed as the first column in the list. The Manage Layout action can be used to change the order in which the column is displayed or to hide the column if you do not want it to be displayed.
