Entitlement Taken Reached Condition for Leave Deduction Rules

Description

A new type of condition called Entitlement Taken Reached has been added to leave deduction rules so that payment of leave can be configured to be subject to the condition that a payee has already used a certain amount of their leave entitlement.

Benefits

This enhancement facilitates leave requirements whereby leave must be paid at different rates depending on the number of units of leave that have already been used.

For example, separate deduction rules can be created and each can be linked to a different pay code, with a different rate, and the Entitlement Taken Reached condition can be used on each deduction rule to identify how many entitlement units must have been used for the corresponding rate of payment to apply.

Configuration

The new Entitlement Taken Reached condition can be added to leave deduction rules that are linked to leave sets that belong to a leave type, as configured in Leave > Maintenance > Leave Type. An example is shown below.

You must select the comparison type and the entitlement taken reach value. For example, if the comparison type is set to Greater than and the value is set to 20, the deduction rule will only apply if a payee has already used more than 20 units of leave. By contrast, if the comparison type is set to Less than or equal to and the value is set to 10, the deduction rule will apply if a payee has used up no more than 10 units of leave.
