Primary Interpretation Header
A primary interpretation header groups together a set of time rounding rules, midnight boundary rules and unpaid break rules that define the parameters for the primary interpretation process that prepares timesheet data for the secondary interpretation process. Therefore, at least one primary interpretation header must be created for a pay agreement before any of the primary interpretation rules can be configured for that agreement.
A primary interpretation header is defined by specifying the validity dates for the set of primary interpretation rules that the header represents. There must be a primary interpretation header that is valid at any given point during the validity period of the agreement, as define in the agreement header. Therefore, if only one primary interpretation header is defined, it must have the same validity period as the agreement itself. If multiple primary interpretation headers are defined within the one agreement, one primary interpretation header must have a validity period starting on the same date as that of the agreement itself and another primary interpretation header must a validity period ending on the same date as that of the agreement itself.
The validity period end date of a primary interpretation header can be left blank if the header is to remain valid indefinitely. However, the validity period of each primary interpretation header within the same agreement cannot overlap.
