Rates and Rules Maintenance

This section explains the configuration that must be carried out before the Rates and Rules module can be used. This section also explains how the various configuration areas of Rates and Rules are managed.

The Maintenance area within the Rates and Rules application allows you to configure and manage various aspects of the application. The Maintenance area can be accessed by clicking near the top right-hand corner of the Rates and Rules screen. Note that you can only access the Maintenance area if you are logged into the web portal as an agency user with the Systems Maintenance permission for the Rates and Rules application.

The Maintenance area is used to configure and manage the following objects that are used by Rates and Rules:

  • holiday types

  • holiday rules

  • pay codes

  • bill codes

  • bill oncosts

  • pay oncosts

  • standard rates rounding.

Rates and Rules cannot be used until the abovementioned objects have been configured.
