How to Create a Benefit Type
To create a new employee benefit type, follow the procedure below.
1. | Navigate to Payroll > Maintenance > Employee Benefits > Benefit Types. The Employee Benefit Type Maintenance screen opens. | Â |
2. | Click Add. The Benefit Type Entry screen displays. | |
3. | In the Name field, key in a unique name for the benefit type. | Â |
4. | In the Description field, key in a description of the benefit type. | Â |
5. | If you do not want the benefit type to be available for use immediately, click Active to clear the tick. You can edit the benefit type record to make the benefit type active at a later stage. Otherwise, skip this step. | Â |
6. | Click Save. The Benefit Types Entry screen closes and the new benefit type is saved. |
