Security Role / Data Group - Permission Changes Candidate / Client Portal

Description

To provide more granularity to what Candidate Portal Users see within their portals, we have split out some of the Security Role permission items. We have also added a new item to display your privacy statement URL in the portals.  Changes include;

  • Candidate Portal

    • Personal Details – Replaces the ‘Maintain Profile’ permission. Ability to view and edit the Personal Details section.

    • Privacy Statement – This is a new permission. Provides the ability to view and open the privacy statement url.

    • Address - Ability to view and edit items in the Address section.

    • Available – Ability to view and update items in the Available section within the Candidate Portal.

    • Skills – Ability to view and update items in the Skills section.

  • Client Portal

    • Privacy Statement – This is a new permission. Provides the ability to view and open the privacy statement url.

The new Privacy Statement permission item, where ticked, displays the label and link in the Candidate / Client Contact Portal’s Privacy Section where the user also has access to Personal Details (Candidate Portal), Contact Profile (Client Portal). If the user does not have access to Personal Details (Candidate Portal), Contact Profile (Client Portal), the Privacy Statement item will display at the header of the record.

The Candide User Maintain Profile permission provided the ability to view and edit the Personal Details, Address and Available sections, however the user was always able to view these sections. These items now all have separate permissions and where not assigned, the section does not display.

Benefits

This change provides the ability to impose greater limitations on what users can access in the Candidate Portal, and a new option to display your Privacy Statement as a link in the portals.
