Relaxation of Tax File Number Validation

Description

In the Payroll Australia module the payee Tax File Number (TFN) validation has been relaxed so that it is now possible to create multiple Payee records, which are linked to the same pay company, with the same TFN.

When you attempt to save a new Payee record or when you attempt to save an existing Payee record after updating the TFN, the following warning message is now displayed if the TFN matches that of another existing payee who is linked to the same pay company:

If you click Yes, the new Payee record will be created or the existing Payee record will be updated with the duplicate TFN. If you click No, the save will be cancelled and you can therefore check and update the TFN if necessary.

Benefits

This enhancement adds more flexibility to cater for scenarios whereby the same candidate requires multiple Payee records but is paid by a single pay entity, as might be the case if your business operates under a franchise agency model.
