Candidate List Scrolling Performance Improvement

Description

If you perform a candidate search and then open a Candidate record from the candidate search results list, a Previous candidate record/Next candidate record action is available at the top of the Candidate screen, as highlighted in the example below, to allow scrolling through the candidate search results list without the need to open and close the Candidate screen each time.

Previously, if you clicked on the Previous candidate record/Next candidate record action the system retrieved a count of job orders for each candidate and displayed the job count at the top of the Job List section of the Candidate screen each time a new Candidate record was loaded into the screen.

Now the job order count is retrieved and displayed when you click on the Job List section of the Candidate screen to expand out that section of the screen, thereby allowing you to see the list of job orders for the candidate, instead of being retrieved immediately each time the details of a new candidate are displayed in the Candidate screen. This reduces the time taken to load the details of each candidate when scrolling through Candidate records.

Benefits

This enhancement improves system performance by significantly increasing the speed with which each Candidate record is loaded when the Previous candidate record/Next candidate record action is invoked because the system is no longer obtaining the count of candidate’s job orders at the same time.
