Removal of Obsolete Payslip Fields for Australia

Description

The following database fields have been removed from the list of database fields that can be added to a document format when creating a new payslip format or editing an existing payslip format for the country of Australia in Maintenance > Document Designer > Document Formats:

• Current HELP

• YTD HELP

• Current SFSS

• YTD SFSS.

The abovementioned fields were previously available within the following payslip format layout components:

• Payslip Totals

• Payslip Totals YTD

Benefits

This enhancement streamlines the list of fields that are available to use in a payslip format for Australia by removing fields that are obsolete. Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) and Student Financial Supplement Scheme (SFSS) were brought under the Study and Training Support Loan (STLS) repayment hierarchy as of 1 July 2019 and as such, ceased to exist as separate components of PAYG withholding from that point onwards and therefore are not required to be displayed as separate values on a payslip.

Configuration

Existing payslip formats in Maintenance > Document Designer > Document Formats that already use the HELP and SFSS fields will continue to display the fields unless the fields are removed from the document format manually. However, it is no longer possible to add the fields to a new payslip document format or when editing an existing payslip document format.
