FastTrack360 Version 12 Online Help

Client Environmental Requirements

Whilst an exact ratio or amount of upload and download per user cannot be given, the available bandwidth to users should be enough to ensure the internet connection is not saturated or affected by other users on the network when critical functions are being performed in the FastTrack360 application.  For example; FastTrack360 download and upload performance should not be affected by other users on the network that may be streaming music, downloading information, or using other web-based applications.

If you are unsure on your current position, we encourage you to reach out to FastTrack and our Cloud Management team will review the answers to the questions to determine if they feel you have a suitable internet connection to run FastTrack360.

 How are your PC Services Delivered to your Users?

To access FastTrack360 all you require is a Windows based PC with a supported browser, sufficient internet bandwidth and resources (CPU/RAM).

The optimum model for to accessing the service is that each user has direct internet access on a local PC.

Alternatively, if you have;

  • A centralised internet connection – Please be mindful that running a single internet connection within a WAN based environment could impact the latency or time take to utilise the service. For example; Your WAN covers Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, and Brisbane. Your internet connection is from Melbourne’s head office to the internet service provider (ISP).  Users located in Sydney, Perth, and Brisbane route through your WAN to Melbourne to gain access to the internet. This can cause a slowdown in performance over distance due to latency. The preferred model is to have decentralised internet access.

  • Utilise Emulation i.e. Citrix, Terminal Server – FastTrack360 does not require emulation to run and prior experience has shown such configurations can cause performance bottlenecks for the end users where they experience slowness due to resource sharing. If you choose to run emulation and utilise FastTack360 we would like to outline;

    • Any such configurations are not tested as part of the standard FastTrack360 compatibility testing. FastTrack cannot test emulation solutions.

    • You must have enough server resources (CPU/RAM) in your Emulation farm to run multiple browser instances per user. It is not uncommon for users to run up to 10-20 browser instances.

    • If you experience slowness you must fully investigate this internally before approaching FastTrack for support and rule out your hardware stack is not the root cause of the issue.

 You can test your network performance within the platform at any time with our embedded speed testing. Located in the Help\About FastTrack\Network Speed a user can test the performance of their network connecting to the FastTrack360 Cloud service for an evaluation of your internet performance.
