Data Replication Services

To support some customers desire to combine FastTrack360 data with other business systems data into a Data Warehouse or Data Lake the following services are available:

One Time Data Extract

The one time data extract will provide a client with a Microsoft SQL Server database back-up of the Client’s hosted solution.

The security of your data is critical and therefore this service will only be provided meeting the below terms:

  1. The data will be provided via a secure FTP service which will only be accessible for the customer to access the content. The client must provide FastTrack the IP address that will be collecting the FastTrack360 Database Extract. Any attempt to connect from a desktop from outside of this IP Address will not be supported.

  2. Secure FTP will use a secure port and data will be encrypted at rest and during transfer.

  3. The backups transferred will be provided as per the last Daily Production Backup and will comprise of the client’s main FastTrack Database only

Please Note: 

  • This backup will include all client data except attachments, which are stored in cloud storage.

  • The database backup provided via this service is for client use only and cannot be provided to another party other than the licensee without written consent from FastTrack.

  • This service is not to be used to build/develop integrations to the FastTrack360’s data layer. API’s are to be used for such integrations as FastTrack can control any impacts at this layer compared to the data layer changing with each release.

  • There are no SLA guarantees on this service and it will be delivered based on best endeavours.

Nightly Data Extract

The nightly data extract will provide a client with a Microsoft SQL Server database back-up based on a fortnightly full backup and a daily differential of the changes for the Client’s hosted solution.

 

The security of your data is critical and therefore this service will only be provided meeting the below terms:

  1. The data will be provided via a secure FTP service which will only be accessible for the customer to access the content. The client must provide FastTrack the IP address that will be collecting the FastTrack360 Database Extract. Any attempt to connect from a desktop from outside of this IP Address will not be supported.

  2. Secure FTP will use a secure port and data will be encrypted at rest and during transfer.

  3. FastTrack will have a scheduled job to transfer backups from the Production server to the SFTP server. This process will occur outside business hours. The backups transferred will comprise of the client’s main FastTrack Database only.

  4. The client will be responsible to setup scheduled copy jobs to collect the backups.

  5. The client must notify FastTrack in advance (minimum 14 days) regarding any planned IP address changes.

Real-Time Data Replication

The real time data replication service will provide a client with a real time feed of FastTrack360 data into a Client supplied AWS database using AWS DMS (Data Migration Services). This service is explained via the below diagram;

The service includes:

  • The one-time setup of the data replication service.

  • Configuration, management, and support of the data replication service that transfers the Clients FastTrack360 production data into an AWS hosted SQL instance owned by the Client.

Please Note:  The FastTrack data replication service is based on the Client subscribing to their own AWS SQL instance for the storage of replicated FastTrack360 data (Data Lake or Data Warehouse)

The security of your data is critical and therefore this service will only be provided meeting the below terms:

  1. This backup will include all client data except attachments, which are stored in cloud storage.

  2. Replicating into AWS cloud services ONLY.

  3. The customer will provide an AWS account and relevant SQL instance to restore replicated data into (Green Zone).

  4. As per the diagram above, FastTrack is responsible for the Purple & Red zones and the Client is responsible for the Green zone. FastTrack takes no responsibility for the management or support of the Green zone and any engagement in such service will incur service fees.

  5. The Client will have no access into the FastTrack360 Cloud network.

  6. The initial setup of the data replication service requires both FastTrack and the Client’s IT team to collaborate and work with FastTrack technical staff to set up the required VPC between the Red/Green zones.  Should there be mutual agreement that the Client’s IT team has caused unnecessary delays or additional work then FastTrack reserves the right to charge additional services on a time and materials basis at our standard service rate.

  7. The service excludes FastTrack providing the Client with any documentation outlining any database schema changes or a data dictionary outlining the purpose of any changes resulting in new tables or fields when a major FastTrack360 version upgrade is released. If such a service is required, this will be scoped and quoted separately upon request.

  8. Configuration of this service is once only, should re-configuration be required a further Implementation service fee will apply.
