Saving a Batch

Whenever you click the forward arrow actions on the Back Pay Batch Wizard screen to proceed to the next stage of the Back Pay batch process respectively, or if you click to release a batch, any information you have specified during the batch process up until that point is saved automatically.

However, if you are not ready to proceed to the next stage of the batch process, you can close the Back Pay Batch Wizard screen. If you have made any changes to the batch at the current stage of the batch process, you can save the batch prior to closing it so that any changes you have made up until that point will not be lost.

When you save a batch, it is saved in a status of Open. This allows you to reopen the batch to complete processing it.

You cannot save a batch at the Initial stage of the batch process. This is because a batch is not created until the batch process progresses past the Initial stage.

If you attempt to close the Back Pay Batch Wizard screen without having saved the batch first, a warning message opens to inform you that you will lose the changes you have made at the current stage of the process if you proceed. To prevent losing your changes, save the batch before attempting to close the Wizard screen.

To save a batch, follow the procedure below.

1.

On the Back Pay Batch Wizard or Retro Payee Details screen, click Save.

All information you have specified up until the current stage of the batch process is saved and a confirmation message opens to inform you the batch has been saved.

2.

If you want to close the Wizard screen, click in the top crumb bar to return to the Back Pay Batch screen.

The Wizard screen closes.
