How to Adjust a Payee's HMRC Deductions
A payee’s statutory deductions can be adjusted at the HMRC Deductions stage of processing a normal or adjustment pay batch.
To adjust the amount of deductions, follow the procedure below.

On the Pay Wizard – HMRC Deductions screen, click the View button next to the relevant payee. The Payee Pay Details screen opens, with the HMRC Deductions section expanded. | ||
2. | In the Adjustment column key in the amount by which to adjust the total amount of the statutory deduction to be deducted in the pay batch. This can be a negative amount. If a payee has an attachment of earnings order (AEO) that affects Student Loan/Postgraduate Loan, the system will automatically inject an adjustment value against these statutory items. The current value and year to date value of the statutory deduction will updated accordingly. |

3. | Repeat step 2 for any other statutory deductions listed on the screen if necessary. |

4. | Click Save. A confirmation message is displayed at the top of the screen to indicate that the adjustments have been saved successfully. |

5. | Click Exit to close the Payee Pay Details screen. |
