Important Considerations about Importing Leave Items

When pay items with a pay code type of Leave are imported using the Manual Item Import feature, there is no link between leave item and a Leave Type in FastTrack360. That means the following:

• there is no determination if the corresponding payee is entitled to the leave, whether the payee is entitled to be paid for taking the leave or whether the payee has a sufficient entitlement balance

• the leave item will be paid at the rate defined in the import and the rate will not be overwritten by a rate derived from a Leave Type

• there is no automatic reduction of the payee’s leave entitlement balance based on what is paid and therefore a manual entitlement balance adjustment may need to be made at the Leave Accrual or Banked Leave Accrual pay batch stage to factor in the leave that has been taken and paid.
