The navigation pane within the Edit Pay Agreement screen allows you to access the various components of an existing pay or bill agreement respectively. Via the navigation pane you can select and display the following:
the agreement header
each primary interpretation header belonging to the agreement
primary interpretation rules belonging to each primary interpretation header secondary interpretation rules belonging to the agreement.
The navigation pane features a separate section under which each of the above listed components is listed. Each of these sections can be expanded to display and access the associated sub-components. In the example below, the Secondary Interpretation section of the navigation pane has been expanded. Within the Secondary Interpretation section, the Pay Code Rules section has been expanded to display the pay code rules belonging to a pay agreement.
Note:
When you open an existing agreement in the Edit Pay Agreement screen, the navigation pane defaults to listing only those sets of primary interpretation rules and secondary interpretation rules within the agreement that have a validity period end date that matches or is later than the current date.

Refine Filter
Allows filtering of primary and secondary interpretation rules by validity dates.
Pay Agreement
Expands to show the pay agreement header, attachments and conditional variables for the pay agreement.
Primary Interpretation
Groups together the primary interpretation headers and the primary interpretation rules that belong to each primary interpretation header.
Secondary Interpretation
Groups together the secondary interpretation pay code rules and pay rate rules.
You can navigate to different parts of an agreement, and therefore view and edit components of the agreement, by clicking the relevant sections of the navigation pane. The procedures below explain how to display different parts of an existing agreement via the navigation pane.
How to Display the Agreement Header
To display the agreement header, follow the procedure below.

How to Display the Attachments
To display any files attached to the agreement header, follow the procedure below.

How to Display the Conditional Variables
To display the conditional variables belonging to an agreement, follow the procedure below.

Under the Pay Agreement section within the navigation pane, click Conditional Variables. |
Note:
You cannot edit, add or delete conditional variables if the agreement is assigned to a job order or job order template.
How to Display a Primary Interpretation Header
To display a primary interpretation header, follow the procedure below.

Click on the set of primary interpretation rules for which you want to display the primary interpretation header. Note that each set of primary interpretation rules is represented by a validity period (for example: 1/04/2010 – 25/01/214) or a single date (for example: 26/0 1/2014), in cases where the primary interpretation header does not have a validity end date. |
3. |
Click Primary Interpretation Header. |
How to Display a Primary Interpretation Rule
To display a primary interpretation rule, follow the procedure below.

In the navigation pane of the Edit Pay Agreement screen, click Primary Interpretation. |

Click on the set of primary interpretation rules to which the rule belongs. Note that each set of primary interpretation rules is represented by a validity period (for example: 1/04/2010 – 25/01/214) or a single date (for example: 26/01/2014), in cases where the primary interpretation header does not have a validity end date. |
3. |
If the rule you want to display is the time rounding rule, click Time Rounding Rule. |
4. |
Click Midnight Boundary Rules. |
5. |
In the Midnight Boundary Rules section, click the name of the midnight boundary rule you want to display. |
6. |
Click Unpaid Breaks. |
7. |
In the Unpaid Breaks section, click the name of the unpaid break rule you want to display. |
How to Display a Secondary Interpretation Pay/Bill Code Rule
To display a secondary interpretation pay/bill code rule, follow the procedure below.

Click Pay Code Rules. |
3. |
Click the relevant pay code rule type depending on the type of pay code rule you want to display. For example, if you want to view a time rule, click Time. |

Click the name of the rule you want to display. |
