You can resize a document format layout component using the following methods: by dragging the edges of the component with the mouse
by using the component settings to specify the exact width and height of the component.
Note:
You can display grid lines to help you to resize the component accurately. For more information, see Working with the Document Format Screen.
To resize a layout component with the mouse, follow the procedure below.

How to Resize a Component with the Mouse

 

1.

If you do not have a document format open already, open a document format in the Document Format screen.

2.

On the document layout within the Document Format screen, click on the component you want to resize.
A coloured border is displayed around the component to indicate that it is selected.

3.

Position the mouse cursor over the top, bottom, left-hand or right-hand edge of the component.
The mouse cursor becomes a double-sided arrow, as shown in the example below.

4.

Click and hold down the mouse button and drag the mouse up, down, left or right depending on the direction in which you want to resize the component.
The height or width of the component changes accordingly.

5.

When the component is the required size, release the mouse button.

6.

Click .
The document format layout is saved and a confirmation message opens.


To resize a layout component by using the component settings, follow the procedure below.

How to Resize a Component by Using the Component Settings

 

1.

If you do not have a document format open already, open a document format in the Document Format screen.

2.

On the document layout within the Document Format screen, click on the component you want to resize.
The component on which you clicked displays a coloured border to indicate it is selected.

3.

In the Components List and Property Grid panel, click Component Settings > Display.
The Component Settings are displayed.

4.

In the Component Settings >Display > Size Width field, key in the required width of the component in millimetres.
Skip this step if you do not want to change the width of the component.

5.

In the Component Settings >Display > Size Height field, key in the required height of the component, in millimetres. Skip this step if you do not want to change the height of the component.
The size of the component changes within the document layout.

6.

Click .
The document format layout is saved and a confirmation message opens.
