Description

A new version of the report designer tool Stimulsoft has been applied to the 11.38 release. The main enhancements in this new release
includes:


The look and feel of of this latest release will be slightly different, including:

In the current version for example, the right hand side defaults to the Properties tab

In the new version, this panel is now on the left hand side, and defaults to the Dictionary item. This can be changed by clicking on the pin in the top right of the panel, the other tabs will then show on the left.

Report Wizard - Data Source


If you use the Report Wizard you will need to make a setting change to see the Data Source items in the list as they will no longer display by default. Please see Configuration below for details.

Benefits

The Report Development experience is more efficient and as such will save time.

Configuration

If you use the Report Wizard you will need to make a setting change to see the Data Source items in the list as they will no longer display by default.

To do this go to File > Options, and in the New Report item select 'Merge Dictionary'. Click OK to save the change.

Repeat steps to open the Wizard. A pop up will display:

Click 'Yes'.

Refresh the browser. Repeat steps to open the Wizard and the Data Source items will display as shown below.

Unfortunately the setting will clear when you end the session and log out of FastTrack360, so you will need to apply it again if you want to use the Wizard. We are working with Stimulsoft to see if there is a way for us to handle this setting in the future, so you will no longer have to make these setting changes to use the wizard.

No additional configuration is required.
