You can resize a document format layout component using the following methods: by dragging the edges of the component with the mouse
by using the component settings to specify the exact width and height of the component.
Note:
You can display grid lines to help you to resize the component accurately. For more information, see Working with the Document Format Screen.
To resize a layout component with the mouse, follow the procedure below.
How to Resize a Component with the Mouse |

If you do not have a document format open already, open a document format in the Document Format screen. |
2. |
On the document layout within the Document Format screen, click on the component you want to resize. |
3. |
Position the mouse cursor over the top, bottom, left-hand or right-hand edge of the component. |
4. |
Click and hold down the mouse button and drag the mouse up, down, left or right depending on the direction in which you want to resize the component. |
5. |
When the component is the required size, release the mouse button. |
6. |

If you do not have a document format open already, open a document format in the Document Format screen. |
2. |
On the document layout within the Document Format screen, click on the component you want to resize. |

In the Components List and Property Grid panel, click Component Settings > Display. |
4. |
In the Component Settings >Display > Size Width field, key in the required width of the component in millimetres. |
5. |
In the Component Settings >Display > Size Height field, key in the required height of the component, in millimetres. Skip this step if you do not want to change the height of the component. |
