How to Resize a Component with the Mouse

 

1.

If you do not have a document format open already, open a document format in the Document Format screen.

On the document layout within the Document Format screen, click

Go to Maintenance > Document Designer Section > Document Formats. The Document Format screen opens.	Image Added
2.	Apply the Search criterion required to find the document format you wish to edit, and click Search. Search results display.
3.	Click the view action next to the document format you wish to edit. The Edit Document Format screen displays.	Image Added
4.	Click on the component you want to resize.

A coloured border is displayed around the component

The component turns blue to indicate that it is selected.

5.	Position the mouse cursor over the top, bottom, left-hand or right-hand edge of the component. The mouse cursor becomes a double-sided arrow

6.	Click and hold down the mouse button and drag the mouse up, down, left or right depending on the direction in which you want to resize the component. The height or width of the component changes accordingly.

7.	When the component is the required size, release the mouse button.

8.	Click Save. The document format layout is saved and a confirmation message opens.	Image Added

Components List and Property Grid panel

Properties panel on the right, click

Component Settings >

Display. The Component Settings are displayed..

6.	In the

Component Settings >Display >

Display section, Size Width field, key in the required width of the component in millimetres. Skip this step if you do not want to change the width of the component.

7.	In the

Component Settings >Display >

Display section, Size Height field, key in the required height of the component, in millimetres. Skip this step if you do not want to change the height of the component. The size of the component changes within the document layout.

8.	Click Save. The document format layout is saved and a confirmation message opens.	Image Added
