Questions on a questionnaire page can be mapped to certain candidate details fields within the FastTrack database. Such questions are known as mapped questions.

Mapped questions allow a candidate's details to be applied automatically to a Candidate Details record within Recruitment Manager, based on the information provided by the candidate through the questionnaire, thereby negating the need for the information being entered into the system manually.

As with non-mapped questions, the answer type of a mapped question determines if knockout actions, scoring and branching can be applied to the question. However, the answer type of a mapped question is implied by the database field to which the question is mapped. For example, a question can be mapped to the First Name field, which accepts text values only. Therefore, the implied answer type for the question is text.

The database fields to which questions can be mapped are listed and described below, along with the corresponding answer type that applies to each field.
