If a questionnaire log shows that one or more responses in a batch caused a warning or error to occur, the relevant responses can be re-imported individually or the entire batch can be re-imported, if the warning or error applied to a large number or responses within an import batch. Before attempting to re-import, however, it may be necessary to fix the problem that caused the warning or error. To determine the reason for the warning or error, you can view the warning or error messages within the relevant questionnaire log.
Re-importing an entire import batch or an individual response within an import batch may cause the system to attempt to import some information that has already been successfully imported when the original import batch was imported originally. This duplicate information will be subject to the duplicate checking rules, as defined in the Candidate Duplicate Check screen and General Settings screen within the Maintenance area of the Questionnaire Maintenance application.
When re-importing an individual response within an import batch, it is possible to choose which specific response details are to be re-imported, thereby preventing re-importing information that has already been imported successfully. This may prevent duplicate information warnings being written to the questionnaire log.
After re-importing a batch or an individual response, the questionnaire log entries or the individual response within the questionnaire update respectively depending on whether any of the conditions affecting responses within the questionnaire log have changed.
On re-importing an import batch or an individual response, it is recommended that you view the entries within the relevant questionnaire log t o ensure that the relevant responses have re-imported successfully.
