Questionnaire pages created in the Questionnaire Maintenance application are linked to categories and external references within categories to determine the job orders to which the pages apply.
Categories
Within the Questionnaire Maintenance module, a category hierarchy is used to group questionnaire pages that are linked to specific categories. A separate category hierarchy exists for each country configured on your system under Portal > Settings > Maintenance > Hierarchy.
The available categories are listed and described in the table below.
Category | Description |
Default | Contains one default registration page for the corresponding country. The default registration page is the first page displayed when a questionnaire is presented to a candidate. Only one page can be linked to this category for each country. |
Country | Pages in this category contain questions specific to the country to which the agency office, which is managing the job order, belongs. Pages linked this category are usually used to ask questions that establish if the candidate is legally eligible to work in the country in which the job is based. One or more questionnaire pages can be created for each country. |
Brand | Pages linked to this category contain questions specific to the agency brand that is managing the job order. One or more questionnaire pages can be created for each agency brand. |
Office | Pages linked to this category contain questions specific to the agency office that is managing the job order. One or more questionnaire pages can be created for each agency office. |
Skill Group | Pages linked to this category contain questions specific to the skill group specified on the job order. One or more questionnaire pages can be created for each skill group. |
Position | Pages linked to this category contain questions specific to the job position. One or more questionnaire pages can be created for each position. |
Parent Company | Pages linked to this category contain questions specific to the parent company to which the client who raised the job order belongs. One or more questionnaire pages can be created for each parent company. |
Client | Pages linked to this category contain questions specific to the client who raised the job order. One or more questionnaire pages can be created for each client. |
Cost Centre | Pages linked to this category contain questions specific to the client cost centre as specified on the job order. One or more questionnaire pages can be created for each client cost centre. |
Position Template | Pages linked to this category contain questions specific to the job order template applied to the job order. One or more questionnaire pages can be created for each job order template. |
Within the Questionnaire Maintenance module, the category hierarchy and the questionnaire pages linked to each category are displayed in the left-hand pane of the Page Maintenance screen, which can be accessed by clicking Questionnaire Pages in the top left-hand corner of the main Questionnaire Maintenance module screen. An example of the category hierarchy displayed in the Page Maintenance screen is shown below.
Left hand arrows are circled where there are no sub-categories or pages for the hierarchy item. Where there is no circle around the arrow, select to expand and show the sub-category or pages that have been created. The icon appears next to each country name and next to each category that currently contains one or more linked questionnaire pages.
External References
The category to which a questionnaire page is linked determines the external references to which that page can be linked. External references link a questionnaire page to objects within a category.
For example, a page may be linked to the Office category. As there can be many agency offices, the external references determine to which agency offices the page is applicable. If, within the Office category, a page is linked to an external reference called Melbourne, the page will be available for inclusion on questionnaires created for job orders managed by the Melbourne agency office.
Pages linked to the Country category have one default external reference, which is the country to which the page applies. This is implied by the country under which the page is created. For example, a page linked to the Country category for the country of Sweden automatically inherits the Sweden external reference. The same applies to the registration pages which are linked to the Default category for each country. Such pages cannot be linked to any additional external references nor can the default external reference be deleted.
Pages that are linked to categories other than the Country and Default categories can be linked to multiple external references within their categories and multiple pages within a given category can be linked to the same external references.
