You should note the following about flagging pay codes for inclusion in the job rates estimate: The estimated pay rate that is shown on a job order or job template is the sum of the pay rates of all pay codes that exist in the rates for the job order or job template and that are flagged as included in job rates estimated. The estimated bill rate is based on the sum of the bill rate for all the bill codes that are linked to those pay codes. As such, to avoid inflating the estimated pay and bill rates, it is recommended that only those pay codes that are used to pay ordinary time elements are flagged for inclusion the job rate estimates. When estimated rates are displayed on a job template, some pay and bill oncosts may not be accurately reflected in the estimated pay and bill rates as the exact oncost rate can depend on the final job hierarchy that applies once a job order is actually created from the job template. Estimated rates do not update after the rates have been are initially assigned to a job order. If, for example, the job rates are edited during the lifecycle of a job or a job order is edited in such a way as to affect the applicable pay or bill oncosts, that is not reflected in the estimated rates.
