When rates are exported successfully, a spreadsheet file is created containing the rates that have been exported.
The Bulk Rate Update functionality exports complete agreement rate rules and standard rates rate sets. For example, a pay rate rule on a pay agreement can have multiple sub-rates, with each sub-rate being qualified by a conditional variable. If a pay rate rule meets the criteria for export, as defined on the Export tab of the Portal > Rates and Rules > Bulk Rate Update screen, the export file will contain one row for each sub-rate that exists on the exported pay rate rule. Similarly, when a standard rates rate set is exported, the export file will contain one row for each pay code and bill code combination that exists in the exported rate set.
The export file contains columns of information that allow you to identify what each row in the file corresponds to as well as columns which allow FastTrack360 to match each row in the file to an agreement, job order or template when the file is imported into FastTrack360 to bulk update rates. The export file also includes columns for setting a new rate validity start date and updating the pay or bill rate and, for pay rate items, an optional pay rate description.
The columns of information that are included in the export file differ depending on the type of rates that are exported. For more information about the columns that are included in the export file depending on the type of rates that have been exported, see Export File Columns.
