Description

In the 11.37 release, we made changes to allow rates to be assigned at Country and Parent Job Templates. As such, we have made some changes to the Copy Job Template workflow to reduce the risk of assigning rates that will not be compatible at other levels in the hierarchy.
For example, a Job Template at the Country level, with Country Agreement Rates assigned, where copied if the user changes the Country, the rates will no longer be compatible. The same incompatibility could also exist when copying a Job Template at a lower level, to a higher level for example a template at the Client level with client specific agreement rates, will not be relevant at a higher level.
The changes made include:
When copying a Job Template with Agreement Rates:
Where the Template Type is Country, and the Country is changed, the Copy Rates action is not editable. Where the Template Type is changed to a higher level, the Copy Rates action is not editable.
Where the Template Type is not Country, however the hierarchy entity is changed (for example changing from one Client to another Client), the Copy Rates action will be editable and:
All entity lookups or picker list items will be limited to the same Country as the Template Type.
As per the existing strategy, the user will pick the wage cost items and on Create the existing validations are run to check if the existing Job Template's rates are compatible with the new entity. If the entity is not compatible the existing validation message displays to inform the user the rates cannot be copied. Where the rates are compatible, they are copied.

When copying a Job Template with Standard Rates, these rates are less hierarchy dependent, so the following applies: Where the Template Type is Country, and the Country is changed, the Copy Rates action is not editable.
Where the Template Type is changed to a higher or lower level, the Copy Rates action is still editable.
Where the Template Type is not Country, however the hierarchy entity is changed, (for example changing from one Client to another Client), the Copy Rates action is editable and:
All entity lookups list items are limited to the same Country as the hierarchy level item.

Benefits

These changes reduce the risk of rates being copied onto a new Job Template, where the rates will not be compatible once assigned to a Job Order. Minimising the risk at the Job Template level, reduces the need to re-assign rates once the template has been assigned to a job.
