Before installing Outlook Extensions 2.3, any previous versions of Outlook Extensions need to be uninstalled. We recommend you check to see if Outlook Extensions is installed on the computer prior to installing the new version.

Below are details on how to: 


Administrator rights are required to uninstall/install Outlook Extensions.  If you don’t have Administrator rights to your computer, your IT Team will need to do this for you.

Check if Outlook Extensions is Installed

Even if the Add-ins menu isn’t showing in Outlook, it’s still possible Outlook Extensions is installed on the computer.

1.Open Add or Remove Programs

How to do this will depend on the version of Windows you are using. For most versions you can open it by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard, then start typing Add or Remove Programs.  If you are unsure, check with your IT Team.

2.Check to see Outlook Extensions is installed 


Uninstall Outlook Extensions

We recommend Outlook Extensions 2.3 is installed before opening Outlook again otherwise a "Installing Office Customization" error may appear.  If the error does appear click Close.


Install Outlook Extensions 2.3

The only difference will be the Settings as you would need to add these if Outlook Extensions wasn't used before.

1.Close Outlook if it's not already

2.Download the Outlook Extensions 2.3 installation file - need to update once confirmed how we are distributing it

3.Install the file

 






4.Add-In Setup

General Settings

If Outlook Extensions was previously setup, these details will already be populated. We recommend you check the details are correct. If there are no details, enter your FastTrack360:

This tab shows:

None of these need to be checked on installation.

Comms Integration

This tab will only appear if Outlook Extensions has previously been setup and you have the relevant permission in FastTrack360 to sync emails. Once you’ve successfully submitted the Add-in Settings and you've confirmed you have the relevant permission click on Settings to see this tab.  If it's not displaying, get your FastTrack Administrator to check your permissions in FastTrack360.

If you don't want emails to be automatically synced to FastTrack360, ensure Enable Sync is unticked.

If Enable Sync is already ticked either:

 Proxy Settings

Only required if a Proxy is used for Internet access.  Check with your IT Team if you are unsure whether a Proxy is used.

If a Proxy is not used, ensure Enable Proxy is unticked.

If a Proxy is used, tick Enable Proxy and enter the Proxy Credentials.  Your IT Team will need to provide these details.

Common Submit Errors

Below are details of common errors that occur when clicking Submit and how to fix them.
