Description

Currently as a Timesheet Initiator a user can enter in an Absence Item and an Additional Item for the same date, and the system will accept this on Save, Submit or Submit & Approve.

This may be done in error, or there may be circumstances where an Absence Item and an Additional Item (where the item is not a Leave Pay Code linked to an Absence Type and as such also a leave item) may be required for the same date. To alert the Timesheet Initiator, a new soft warning has been added to check for clashes between these items.

This check will be triggered on Save, Submit or Submit & Approve, and the following warning message will display if there is a clash.

If the Timesheet Initiator wants to keep both items on the same date, OK is selected and the Timesheet is Saved, Submitted or Submitted & Approved. If the Timesheet Initiator has done this in error, they can click cancel and make changes to the Timesheet.

Benefits

This enhancement provides additional checks to ensure that Timesheet information is not incorrectly keyed.
